2007 is a year of exploration and laying down the groundwork for future expansion. With 1.3 million orphans in Zimbabwe and 380,000 child-headed households, we have plenty of opportunities. Our board is engaged in building and strengthening our organizational structure and the Zimbabwe programs, and creating revenue streams to support our goals.

Some of the activities that support these goals include:

• Continue to support sponsored children.
• Work through the God Help Us Children’s Organization (GHUCO), an organization created by 12 local community leaders in Goromonzi.
• Coordinate with other non-governmental organizations (NGO’s).
• Pilot a Breakfast Program for 380 children at Dudzu Junior School in Goromonzi (200 of these 380 children are orphans).
• Fund teacher training for preschool teachers in Mwanza and Mrewa.
• Support preschool programs by providing teachers with stipends, fund school materials and breakfast program.
• Ensure reliable sources of water in Rusike, Dudzu and Mrewa.
• Support volunteers in the Goromonzi community who work to better the lives of the children.
